BPC-157 and tissue repair — what does research say?

Review of available preclinical and clinical research on BPC-157. Most are animal studies.

Key findings

  • Rodent studies show accelerated healing of tendons and ligaments
  • Possible gastroprotective effect
  • No large clinical trials in humans

My commentary

I use BPC-157 after a knee injury. Subjectively I feel faster recovery, but without a control group I cannot objectively assess this.

RAD-140 (Testolone) — research review

Critical review of RAD-140 research. Selective androgen receptor modulator with promising but limited results.

Key findings

  • Shows anabolic properties without typical androgenic effects in animal studies
  • Phase I clinical trials showed adverse effects at higher doses
  • No long-term safety data available

My commentary

I cannot recommend any substances. I share what I found in the scientific literature.

Protein timing — does it matter?

Meta-analysis of research on the importance of protein timing for muscle synthesis.

Key findings

  • Total daily protein intake more important than timing
  • Anabolic window is wider than previously thought (several hours)
  • With high protein intake, timing has minimal importance

My commentary

I focus on hitting the daily protein target. Timing is a secondary matter.
