Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2026
This policy explains how MarcinLabs (marcinlab.com) uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies. It does not claim PECR compliance — legal review is required.
1. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We also use sessionStorage and localStorage for the research topic selector, remembering your consent choice and — after consent — a short-lived analytics session identifier.
2. Storage that works without analytics consent
The items below support basic site operation and the interest selector. The topic selector and WhatsApp work without optional analytics consent.
- Selected research topics — temporary list in sessionStorage/localStorage in your browser (MarcinLabs does not receive this via a form submission).
- Consent preference — stores your accept / reject choice for optional analytics in localStorage.
3. Optional analytics (after consent)
After you accept optional analytics we may:
- store privacy-minimised research-interest events (topic ids, language, page path, event type) in Supabase,
- create a short-lived session identifier in sessionStorage (about 24 hours) to group events in the same visit.
Analytics are not loaded before consent. We describe them as privacy-minimised, not as fully anonymous.
4. What we do not use cookies for
On this site MarcinLabs does not collect via cookies or localStorage: your name, email, phone, address, quantities, prices or WhatsApp message content.
5. Managing consent
You can accept or reject optional analytics in the banner and later change your choice via “Privacy settings” in the footer. Withdrawing consent stops new analytics events; earlier database records are subject to the retention policy in our Privacy Policy.
6. WhatsApp / Meta
When you click a WhatsApp link you leave MarcinLabs. WhatsApp may set its own cookies and process data as a separate controller — outside MarcinLabs’ control.
